Grays Harbor Shorebird and Nature Festival: May 4 - 5, 2024
Join Bats Northwest at the Grays Harbor Shorebird and Nature Festival in Hoquiam, WA. The event runs multiple days and our booth will be at the Marketplace Saturday May 4th from 9am to 5pm and then again on Sunday, May 3rd from 9am to 4pm. Come say hi and learn all about Bats.
Puget Sound Bird Fest
Come join us at the Puget Sound Bird Fest in Edmonds. Grab your binoculars and not only learn about Bats but birds and nature galore. Activities include presentations by local authors, scientists and naturalists , educational exhibits, kids activities and more.
Rainier Audubon Nature Festival 2024
Bats Northwest will have a table again at the Rainier Audubon Nature Festival on Saturday, June 8th at Flaming Geyser. Come enjoying the festival’s guided bird and native plants walks, kids activities and then stop by and learn about Washington State Bats and what you can do to create a bat habitat in your own backyard.
Mount Vernon Garden and Art Fair June 29 - 30th
Stop by our booth when you are at the Mount Vernon Garden and Art Fair Saturday, June 29 and Sunday June 30th. The fair features many booths and food booths, speakers and children activities. Stop by our booth and learn about our northwest bats.

Leap For Green Earth Day Fair

World Wetlands Day at the Mercer Slough
Come join Bats Northwest at Mercer Slough Nature Park’s World Wetland Day. This global event recognizing the significance of wetlands, including marshes, swamps, bogs, and mangroves. Methow Conservancy’s Bats of the Northwest Online Event
Join Bats Northwest’s Niki Desautels for this Methow Conservancy Zoom event, Tuesday November 7th at 7PM. Learn about the bats that share your backyard! Bats are one of Washington’s most interesting and most misunderstood groups of animals. Fifteen species of bats make their home here from the rare spotted bat, with its black and white fur and huge pink ears, to the canyon bat, so small it is sometimes mistaken for a moth. Free registration is required.
All About Bats at the Everett Public Library
Join Bats Northwest Niki Desautels for this all age event as she introduces the world of bats. Bats are highly beneficial to people. As predators of night-flying insects (including mosquitoes!), bats play a role in preserving the natural balance of our environments. she’ll be sharing information about how bats move, sound, and contribute to our ecosystem. Participants will understand how to observe bats in their communities and learn ways to participate in scientific research from their own yards. More information available at Everett Public Library.
Bats Overhead Youth Program
Join Bats Northwest Niki Desautels as she explore and teaches about bats through stories and crafts. Look up at dusk, and you're likely to see a bat flying across the sky. Believe it or not, bats are common in Washington and it's easy to spy them foraging for bugs after the sun sets. More information available at Everett Public Library.

All About Bats with Barb Ogaard
Attention all ghosts and goblins!!! The Bat Lady will be at the Adopt A Stream Foundation’s Northwest Stream Center on Friday night at 7:00pm October 20th in Snohomish County’s McCollum Park (600 128th Street SE, Everett WA 98208). The Bat Lady also goes by the name of Barbara Ogaard. She rehabilitates injured bats for the Sarvey Wildlife Center and is a researcher for Bat’s Northwest. Sno-Isle Libraries Bats NW Online Event
Join bat rehabilitator, Meg Lunnum for this online event on Friday, October 20th from 4 - 5pm. She will provide an introduction to World bats and Washington state bats, describe the bat life cycle and give information about bats in houses and making and installing Bat Houses.

Bat Talk with Live Bats with Meg Lunnum
Come learn about Washington State Bats and meet a few with wildlife rehabilitator Meg Lunnum. She will be at Lincoln Hill Retirement Community, Monday, October 2 at 2PM.

All For Animals Walk
We will have a Bats Northwest table at the All for Animals Walk at Woodland Park Zoo. This family friendly event is on Saturday, 16th from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m and you must register in advance with the zoo. The event features a hot breakfast, music, special animal encounters and a walk around the zoo. Stop by our table and learn all about our amazing Washington State Bats. Register today!
Sunset Bat Walk at the Tukwila Community Center
Bats Northwest is partnering with Green Tukwila and Woodland Park Zoo on this hybrid workshop to teach about local bats and then ends with a Bat Walk. Come learn how you can make a difference in the lives of these mammals and how you can impact science by joining in and being a community scientist collecting data. This workshop will teach you the ins and outs of reporting bat sightings. The Bat Walk will be on paved trails around the Tukwila Community Center. Please wear comfortable shoes and be dressed for the outdoors. The event is free but registration is required.
