B.A.T Night at Rainer Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands (with ASL interpretation)

  • Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands 5513 South Cloverdale Street Seattle, Washington, 98118 United States (map)

This event asks for (free) RSVP for attendance.

Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands, Bats Northwest, & Woodland Park Zoo are collaborating for an evening of bat fun for the whole family!

Take part in this free educational event featuring bat-inspired snacks, a family friendly activity, an educational presentation about bat behavior & biology, and how they adapt to our ever changing world; ending the night observing our nightly neighbors as part of the B.A.T community science program.

The BAT program invites YOU to become a community scientist by observing bats right in your own neighborhood. Our goal is to collect data on bat sightings throughout Washington, and your participation makes a difference! Connecting with nature and observing local wildlife is not only educational, but also a wonderful way to appreciate and protect the environment around us.

ASL interpretation will be provided!

It is recommended to wear closed-toed shoes and have a long-sleeved shirt to cover up if it gets chilly at night. Please bring a headlamp and consider putting on bug spray if mosquitos like you.
