Bat Week is an annual international celebration dedicated to raising awareness about the critical roles bats play in maintaining healthy ecosystems around the world.
Held from October 24 - 31, Bat Week is organized by a diverse group of representatives from conservation organizations and government departments across North America.
Bat Week aims to raise awareness about the importance of bats and inspire the public to take action to protect them.

Bats Northwest and Woodland Park Zoo are proud to present “Invisible Mammals”, a documentary about bats and the people who work to save them.

Woodland Park Zoo (Seattle, WA)
We will be screening the newly released 90-minute film, followed by a 30-minute discussion and Q&A lead by bat specialists from Bats Northwest.
The event will also feature a batty gift basket raffle and bat costume/best bat accessory contest.
Doors open at 6:30pm, the film will begin at 7pm, followed by a moderated discussion and Q&A on bats.

Parking is free in the Lion lot (formerly called the Hippo lot)
Directions: turn into the Lion lot off of 50th Street. The Education Center is the far east entrance to the Zoo's main building, closest to the Rose Garden. Volunteers will be outside to direct you.
ADA seating available, please indicate requirements on your ticket purchase (plus guests you will be attending with).
Service dogs only, no other pets.
Event recommended for ages 12 and up.
No food or drinks. Water is permitted in the theater.
