Join Woodland Park Zoo for an evening of conversation about the new book For the Love of Bats: Exploring Nature at Night with the West’s Flying Mammals (by Niki Desautels; Illustrated by Anneke Wilder).
The discussion will explore bat biology and behavior in western habitats, the power of people's involvement in community science to better bat conservation, and share book excerpts.
Featuring author Niki Desautels, Woodland Park Zoo's Conservation Manager Katie Remine, and Bats Northwest volunteer Katie Lundi.
The event will also showcase WPZ’s Bat Activity Trends (BAT) program and provide conservation actions we can all take to support our nighttime neighbors.
