Townsend's Big-eared Bat

(Corynorhinus townsendii)

Like many bats, these bats with the huge ears return to the same roost sites year after year. It is believed these bats feed entirely on moths. They are endangered in the eastern U.S., and threatened in areas of the western U.S.
