Big Brown Bat
(Eptesicus fuscus)
These bats are closely associated with humans, as their summer roosts are often located in attics, barns, bridges, and other man-made structures, where colonies of a few to several hundred individuals gather to form maternity colonies. They hibernate during the coldest weather, though no one knows where most go.
